Apple has just released their newest iPhone and we are surprised with what we see! Instead of following their usual path of making a bigger and better phone than the one before, Apple has gone and done something we haven’t seen in a while. The newest iPhone has actually shrunk in size being only 4 inches. This phone is meaner, smaller, and best of all- more affordable than the previously released models. “The company calling it the most powerful 4-inch phone ever made”.
Now the question on all our minds is: did Apple run out of ideas and simply go back to the 5S or are they really trying to help us out with a better phone at an affordable price?
According to Apple, the iPhone SE is 50% faster than the 5S, improving on its central processing unit Its graphics is also up to 3x faster than its predecessors. According to Apple’s Vice President of marketing, Greg Joswiak has said that Apple has included an Apple A9 chip into it the SE, referring to the same 64-bit chip found in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
The iPhone SE has a 12 megapixel camera, panorama up to 63 MP and “True Tone” flash, keeping its quality high and constantly improving. Apple has also brought back Apple Pay, Touch ID, Retina Display, and Live Photos. It is with these improvements that we see Apple is working to really upgrade this phone enough for us to see the difference between the SE and 5S, bringing this new phone closer to the upgrades of the larger phones, but keeping the price as affordable as possible.
The iPhone SE will be available in 4 colours: Black, Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, starting at $399 for the 16 GB model, making this phone the most affordable iPhone we have ever seen. The 64 GB model will be priced at a mere $499, giving you only $100 difference between the two models, but 4x the amount of memory.
Sadly the phone is not yet available for the public making its release a major tease. However, it does give us time to figure out what colour we want and how quickly we will be switching over to this new model.
Apple will begin taking orders on March 24 where it will surely sell out quickly. The phone will officially be available as of March 31. The iPhone SE is expected to sell in more than 100 countries by the end of May so be ready to purchase yours!
