There have been so many times that I would look in the mirror and tell myself that I really needed to start living a healthier lifestyle. With all the unhealthy food that we eat daily, and the amount of time we spend sitting on our butts in front of any type of electronic really, its only natural that we start to forget about taking care of ourselves.
One day, I decided it had to end. I had to find a way to better motivate myself to start living a healthier lifestyle. If I was not willing to give up electronics or junk food, there had to be something else I could do to at least balance it all out.
I got a new phone, the Samsung Glaxay Note 4 and did it amaze me. It would count my daily steps, set up goals based on my age, height, weight, everything. Then when I needed to I could check my heart rate. It become my go to app as a back up for how to keep track of myself, my body, and my health. I took my phone everywhere with me, constantly in my hand so it would never miss a step. I wasn’t sure how it worked exactly so I didn’t want to risk anything- I had goals and I was set on meeting them daily. It was the least I could do if I was on a mission to live longer and healthier.
However, as much as I adored my phone, it was big and bulky and to difficult to take with me everywhere!
One day I was walking around Best Buy looking for my next electronic venture when I came across the Fitbit. It was small, it was cute, and it did everything I needed all conveniently located in one small watch-like-band.
I decided I would get the simple flex band as the price was great, the design suited my needs and it just seemed like the right fit. I went home and did a bit more research on the product just to make sure it was the right one for me, and then decided that the flex was doing everything my phone had been doing already, so what was the point? I looked around a bit more and decided on the Fitbit Charge HR! It did everything my phone did and more. It actually gave me a way to replace my phone! It was a motivation in a band.
Not only was the Charge HR keeping track of my steps, and my heart rate continuously (something my phone did not do), it was also keeping track of my phone. It allowed me to leave my phone behind at time, so my steps were still counted, and my called ID was with me. Two birds one stone right?
I wore this band everywhere! I finally signed up to the gym, put on my Fitbit and felt like I was being more productive than ever before. Now let me tell you, the reason I have quit the gym so many times is because I felt like I was doing nothing at all, it was confusing and scary. But with a band that was sitting there with me in this confusion motivating me to just work a little harder to meet my goal- it was worth it.
The FitBit Charge HR is truly a great product, and I recommend it to people like me- trying to set a higher standard for their lives. A way to motivate themselves to keep an eye out on their own health.
If you don’t believe me try it out yourself, and you will not regret it!
