Motorola has done it again and surpassed all expectations with their newest piece of technology genius: the Moto 360 Generation 2 Smartwatch!
Motorola has released their newest version of the Moto 360 Smartwatch and it is better than ever. They have obviously taken into account all the original defects and done all that they can to fix them up for this new version. Not only have they upgraded the design and added in newer features and options to improve the aesthetic of the watch, they have also improved the hardware, application upgrades, and battery life.
The Moto 360 (2nd gen) is using the Snapdragon 400 processor, which turns the frequency to 1.2 GHz. But it has the same 4 GB of internal storage and 512 MB of RAM as the 2014 version of the same watch. The new Moto 360 also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, so you can use the watch without having to rely on having your smartphone on you at all times. This to me is one of the best perks. You no longer need to rely on carrying your larger than ever smartphones with you everywhere you go without risking a missed text or email. The Moto 360 makes life just a little easier and lighter.
Another great difference that Motorola has done with this newest smartwatch is give you options on how it looks. By allowing you the ability to customize your watch to suit your needs and style, the Moto 360 now fits your life the way you want it. By removing the wristband buckles off the watch face and keeping them separately, they are more or less easy to remove and reattach allowing you the chance to change the band based on what you are doing or where you are going. You no longer need more than one watch to suit your different styles.
The display of the Moto 360 has two options versus the original one. It now has a smaller 42mm option alongside its original 46mm case. The reason for this is being marketed as its ability to now target both men and woman give woman the ability for a smaller size to suit their more delicate wrists. The Moto 360 gives its female users a 42mm option that is built just for them, with the biggest difference being that the strap lugs are pushed closer together to accommodate thinner 16mm bands. This not only gives the watch a more feminine look, but a neater design for how the watch is worn. The watch as well gives the options for a 20mm and 22mm watch band, which both fit the display equally. With the bands being the common size of a watch, users do have the option of finding a third-party band.
The bands come in a huge variety of colors and materials to meet any users needs. For the advertised mans line, you can choose from black, silver or gold colored aluminum bezels that have either a smooth metal finish or a textured “micro knurl” pattern as well as the same colored leather band. For the woman advertised watch, it comes in the same colors, however the Black option was changed for a more feminine Rose Gold. The leather straps come in the same colors and sizes, however a double-wrap option was included for a more fashionable look.
Finally, one important feature to cover that makes this watch so great is its promotion of a
healthier lifestyle. The Moto 360 has included a heart rate monitor on the back of the display which is meant to collect data every 5 minutes giving you a total heart rate analysis for up to 24hrs. By including this feature along with a step count and a calorie tracker the Moto 360 helps its users keep track of their daily fitness and health and encourages them to beat their own goals and keep their lives healthy.
A Few Extra Features To Keep In Mind:
Information On The Go:
With its Bluetooth capabilities the Moto 360 connects to your smart devices easier than ever. With its built-in activity tracker, this smartwatch keeps track of your daily activities while giving you the occasional motivational message to help you meet those goals. Motorola has not only made you a watch above all watches, it has also given you your own coach on the go. With the simple “OK Google” feature, you can talk to your watch through its integrated mic, asking it questions or answering a quick text on the go entirely hands free.
Moto 360 will keep you up to date on what you need to do and summarize what you have already done without needing to refer to your phone or calendar. Smartphones better watch out because this watch is slowly taking all their abilities and uses away into a smaller more convenient piece of technology.
Compatibility with Apple and Android
For the already true Android Wear fans, this is the best option out there for you- and for all Apple iOS fans, you should check this one out too. If you are an Apple user and a bit iffy on transferring over to android as I myself was, the Moto 360 is compatible with your iPhones so you do have the option of giving it a try without transferring over completely.
There is now an application available in the Apple store called “Android Wear” which will pair your iPhone to the Moto 360 over Bluetooth and give you almost all the same uses as an Android phone would. You will get all the same notifications, be able to set up applications and features and emails (given you sign into your Google account on your phone).
A great feature that the Moto 360 includes is its wireless charging. When you purchase this smartwatch, it comes with a charging dock that can be moved with you anywhere you go. This gives you a neat place to leave your watch to keep it protected while you sleep, when you’re on the go, or while you’re at work. The wireless charging dock is a great add-on that Motorola has given its users included in the price of its watch.
The Moto 360 is the watch of this generation. Its style and power makes it the watch to beat. Check out the options for yourself at:
